Profile Information

About Me:
Mr Owens is a software engineer who has spent the last 20 years riding close to the crest of the computer technology wave that continues to surge forward. Technology is enabling many advancements for the human species.
Have you lived or worked in a developing country? What did you learn?
I have lived in the developing country of 1950s ranch land in the far north east corner of California. The work is hard, the pay is little and simple tools plus knowledge can make a tremendous difference in ones life.
Please describe the skills and abilities you have that you think will be useful for this project.
Software design, implementation, testing and release to product lifecycle experience for military and commercial large and small entities.
I have seen many instances of technology bringing a better more balanced life to this planet. My engineering experience enables me to conceive of unions of emerging technology and emerging markets growing out of satisfying the needs of developing peoples.

Wow! You are speaking a language I want to get to know better: methane digesters and power generation!
YES! How can I learn more for application here in our emerging Valley of the Moon Eco Community in Panama?
Looking forward,
Dr. Rima

We're developing (well, Robert Owen is mainly developing) an icon-driven search structure that eventually will allow language-free searching of all the designs on the Piclo site.

I would like to see if there is a way I can get involved with this section of the work. I have a a background in computer systems, anthropology, linguistics, brain function, and language & behavior. I also have experience 'trying' to make my USA-based fix-it experience work in a 3rd world culture here in Uruguay.

What should I look at to start to understand your direction and your progress?
